Candidate's Responses

  1. Do you support the integration of climate change throughout every subject?

Yes. The climate crisis impacts every area of life.
  2. Do you support the teaching on solutions for climate change, as well as the causes and impacts?

Yes. The history is interesting and needs to be taught to show the need for action, but the solutions and actions needed are an immediate priority
  3. Do they support more training for all teachers around the climate crisis?

Yes. As a councillor I have done some training on the Climate emergency, this training would have value for teachers
  4. Do they support more money being spent to upgrade schools so they are carbon neutral?

Yes. All our buildings, public and private, need their insulation and heating systems upgraded. And solar or wind generation on site should be looked at.
  5. Do they support more green skills being taught in job-related education?

Yes, there is a skill shortage in many of the areas where we have so much work to do.
