Candidate's Responses

  1. Do you support the integration of climate change throughout every subject?

Yes. As someone who did teacher training in Wales, I believe ‘Education for Sustainable Development and Global Citizenship’ should be part of the curricula throughout the UK.
  2. Do you support the teaching on solutions for climate change, as well as the causes and impacts?

Yes. As a law lecturer and ICT tutor, I think there are many opportunities to teach about how to better manage the effects of the ice-age cycle made worse by human impacts.
  3. Do they support more training for all teachers around the climate crisis?

Yes. Teachers and lecturers should understand that climate change is part of a transition from one ice-age to another, which is sped up by the activities of the planet’s inhabitants, especially humans.
  4. Do they support more money being spent to upgrade schools so they are carbon neutral?

No, but I believe as part of a school’s maintenance programme, replacing, repairing or renewing school facilities should be carbon neutral.
  5. Do they support more green skills being taught in job-related education?

Yes. For instance, the companies I direct train employees in green IT and procurement.
