Candidate's Responses

  1. Do you support the integration of climate change throughout every subject?

Yes absolutely, I support having sustainability in general (including but not limited to climate change) in every single subject, as key skills for the future.
  2. Do you support the teaching on solutions for climate change, as well as the causes and impacts?

Yes I do. The science is clear on what we need to do to stop climate and nature breakdown, and it only makes sense to teach what we know will fix it.
  3. Do they support more training for all teachers around the climate crisis?

Yes. It's vital teachers understand the sustainability content they should be teaching, and so extra training for all teachers on this is vital for a successful curriculum shift.
  4. Do they support more money being spent to upgrade schools so they are carbon neutral?

    Yes.
  5. Do they support more green skills being taught in job-related education?

Yes, as we know the future of employment needs to be sustainable. Having a wide pool of people with those skills will make the transition far easier.
