Yes. Climate change is affecting all aspects of our lives. Young people need to be able to understand how it affects these different aspects and from diverse viewpoints. This will help comprehensively equip young people to help mitigate it and adapt to it.
Yes, absolutely. Solutions for climate change involve long-term commitment and actually bring co-benefits. Teaching solutions confers the hope that we all need that we can transition our society into a sustainable healthy and fair society.
Yes. The impacts of climate change are complex and sometimes nuanced. I've been interested in the topic for many years and I continue to learn all the time. Continual learning about climate change is important to cover the complexities of the subject, the growing data and progress with solutions.
Yes. Learning about climate change brings with it an understanding of our personal carbon footprints. By learning in a carbon neutral and environmentally conscious environment empowers young people to take more responsibility for their own footprints and reinforces the understanding that the causes, but also solutions, are relevant to all aspects of our lives.
Yes absolutely. We need to equip young people with the skills to succeed in a sustainable economy. This will involve jobs in industries that will be leading the transition, such as in retro-fitting buildings, renewable energy engineering and low carbon travel.
