Candidate's Responses

  1. Do you support the integration of climate change throughout every subject?

It will be easier with some subjects but in principle I support raising awareness of climate change as much as possible
  2. Do you support the teaching on solutions for climate change, as well as the causes and impacts?

It is important to know as much as possible about this subject, including the limitations of some of the proposed solutions. The importance of considering more radical solutions, such as changing the way the economy works, to a more circular approach, should also be part of any teaching. Business as usual is not an option.
  3. Do they support more training for all teachers around the climate crisis?

Yes, as it is a complex subject and many people do not understand the implications of a warmer planet and the disasterous consequences of inaction.
  4. Do they support more money being spent to upgrade schools so they are carbon neutral?

Yes, as this will help towards making a difference.
  5. Do they support more green skills being taught in job-related education?

Yes, including different economic principles and the hierarchy of prevention, as examples
