Thank you to every single one of the 552 of you that donated to our Crowdfunder! We made it! When we first started we didn’t know if we would raise enough to afford the room hire and compulsory catering order in parliament, as it costs a fortune, but we were amazed when we reached the £4,000 target in just a few weeks.

Climate change should be taught in schools. That is the opinion of three quarters of respondents to a recent YouGov poll. This data certainly suggests that a majority of the UK population now considers the issue of climate change significant enough to warrant inclusion in the body of prized knowledge that constitutes the National Curriculum.

Tomorrow we will face the prospect of implementing a new government. Hopefully, this will be one that brings with it notions of climate justice and education reform, two things so idiosyncratic to our being that this general election strikes fear in the hearts of many people when they think of what is at stake.

We’ve analysed each manifesto against our 6 demands of #TeachTheFuture. It’s clear to see our climate strikes have had an impact in shifting the conversation for some parties. The transformation of our education system as a means to solve the climate crisis and ecological emergency is reflected most clearly in the commitments by the Greens and Labour.
