On March 2nd 2022 (next Wednesday!), The National Union of Students are holding a student strike and teach-in calling on students from across the country to come together in London to demand a #NewVisionForEducation. They’re calling for education to be funded, accessible, lifelong and democratised for all students.

‘After two years of isolation from each other, the student movement will reunite to reimagine the broken system and build the #NewVisionForEducation we want to see. We'll come together in central London for a day of sharing knowledge, celebrating together, and experiencing education as we want to see it.

The day will run between 12pm - 4pm. We will have workshop zones, interactive art, performance, speeches, celebrations...and anything you want to bring to the day!’

As both a student led and education based campaign, we want to send our support to all the students striking on Wednesday. As we know, ‘Education should be a right, not a privilege.’ No one should be denied an education. Education is the key to empowerment, change and is the doorway to freedom for many. Solidarity to all those who like ourselves are fighting for the betterment of education. We deserve access to adequate learning and knowledge.
